This service is for everyone! Whether you’re old or young, a long term Christian or exploring faith, you are welcome.

A children’s programme for ages 4-12 runs during the second part of the service.

The Parent Room is available on Sunday mornings for under 4-year-olds at the back of the auditorium. This is a space for kids to play freely, while parents chat or watch the service via live stream

We all gather together at Waikanae Baptist Church to worship through music, a message, prayer and fellowship.

We believe that our Sunday gathering should be a time of community and not a performance. Members of our church family have opportunities to share through prayer, testimony and celebrations.

You can enter through our building through the main entry where you can access our meeting space.

You will be greeted by our awesome welcome team who can give you any information you need.

Morning tea and a chance to catch up with each other. You are welcome to stay and spend some time getting to know people after the service.

On the first Sunday of the month we change things up a little by meeting in smaller groups in houses, cafes and at the church.

We do this because we believe that relationship is incredibly important for our spiritual growth and it can be easier to build relationship in a smaller context.

If you’re visiting, there are two groups that meet at Waikanae Baptist (a group aimed at families and a more general group).

We recommend that if your first Sunday with us is a ‘Sunday Connect’ that you come along to the church building.

If you would prefer to meet with a group outside the church building, please contact the office and we can provide more information.

Children & Families: A group aimed at families meets at the church at 10am. A programme for children runs during this group.

Teenagers: There are no groups/programmes aimed specifically at teenagers on a ‘Connect Sunday’. Teenagers can choose to attend a group with their parents or go to a group on their own.

We recommend that you take a look at our youth page which provides information on what’s available for youth in our church.

In short, no. Some Life Group leaders run a Sunday Connect Group as well. However, we encourage you attend a different group to your life group to help build new connections.
