The best way to connect into church is through a Life Group.

Life Groups are an important part of Waikanae Baptist Church. It is through these groups that we encourage each other to become mature disciples of Christ. In our groups we seek to grow stronger in our relationship with God and deeper in our relationship with each other. This way we can join together in mission to see others know and experience Christ. The mission of Christ is an important part of Waikanae Baptist - that all may know the hope and new life that He brings and be restored to Him. We seek to develop our people in their God given gifts so that they are best equipped to serve others. There are lots of ways you can serve both on a Sunday and throughout the week - whether you’re serving our church community, our local community or our global community, there is a place for you!

What else happens at Waikanae Baptist?

  • Once a month we run ‘Connect In’ events. These events are for our whole church body, but are particularly aimed at connecting in our family aged members. ‘Connect In’ events come in all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s after church lunches, Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner, Curry & Quiz or a games night for the kids, ‘Connect In’ is always super worthwhile!   • The craft group offers a creative environment and a wonderful place to be helpful, encouraging, supportive and develop friendships. They meet every Thursday at the church, from 10am to 12 (midday).

  • Our ministry to those in care operates with a small team who lead services at five rest homes in Waikanae: Country Lodge, Parkwood Lodge, Winara House, Millvale House and Ryman’s. Other churches share in this ministry.
