Any information we collect is usually kept for these reasons:

  • To enable authorised staff and ministry leaders to know about you and communicate with you, and to facilitate and provide for your care and spiritual growth

  • To enable ministry leaders to communicate with member of their groups

  • To provide summarised, depersonalised information for use in the management and decision making processes of this church or denominational body

  • To enable members of the congregation to communicate with one another

  • To enable us to communicate with people who sign up for events and programs

  • To enable us to communicate with people who hire our buildings

Limits

We will never hand out or use any information about you other than for the purposes shown above, or other compatible purposes, without first getting your consent.

Retention

We will only retain your information for as long as it is needed to meet the purposes shown above.

Access

Your information belongs to you, and you are able to access it and to make changes to it.

Security

We will protect your personal information by all reasonable means against loss, theft, unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. Members of the congregation who obtain personal information, for example a church directory, will be required to sign an undertaking not to misuse the information.

Video Surveillance

We use surveillance cameras for building security and people safety. Images are retained for a month and then overwritten. The images will only be used to investigate a safety or security breach.
